Week 5: Mark of irrationality

Pick one concept from the assigned reading, not already discussed, that you found useful or interesting and discuss it.

This weeks reading of epstein reading talk about the mack of irrationality. Im writing about this because i read the book while a situation that applied to this took place. At work, the workers are required to follow certain rules that are strictly enforced. not only to do well with sales, but also to make the environment of the workers more enjoyable. one of the rules we all hate involves chores. when one is caught not cleaning after themselves like after a break or a meal, we need to clean the break room. Mind you, i work in a store of about 20 ppl, 5 of which are girls, and the guys seem to be very messy. Well, one of my co workers spilled a soft drink and left the entire store sticky, my manager saw him do it but he tried to say it wasn't him and almost even tried waling away.. He got stuck cleaning the bathrooms. This is an example of a Mark of irrationality. My co worker was upset but he couldn't argue, he knew the rules and regulations and he did not have a valid counter argument. the proof was very evident.
